In Spenge there are 8 day-care centers run by different providers to look after children from 6 months to primary school age.

The aim is to give the refugee children an early daycare place. The children are quickly integrated there and learn the German language.

Primary school children attend the Spenge/Hücker-Aschen primary school or the Spenge Land primary school. After elementary school, the children go to one of the secondary schools in Spenge or Enger. Most children attend the Rainbow Comprehensive School in Spenge. Newly arrived children with little knowledge of the language first attend the international class at the comprehensive school in Spenge.

The schools and day-care centers are happy about sponsorships. Sponsors facilitate contact and information to the families and thus support the learning success of the children. Unfortunately, the number of sponsorships has been greatly reduced in recent years.
